Why this editor exists
Most online Markdown tools ask you to sign up, push your draft to a server, or require an image host before pictures work at all. Many also load their scripts from third-party CDNs that are unreliable in some networks. This one goes the other way: every asset is served from this domain and every step happens inside your browser.
🔒 Nothing is uploaded
Parsing, math rendering and image compression all run locally. Your text lives in this tab and in a local autosave draft — never on a server.
📋 Copy with real formatting
Three built-in paste styles (WeChat, Zhihu, generic rich text). One click puts styled HTML on your clipboard; paste it into any WYSIWYG editor.
🖼️ Images with zero setup
Paste, drop or pick an image — it is compressed locally and inlined into the document. No image host, no API keys.
⚡ No third-party CDN
marked, DOMPurify, highlight.js, KaTeX and Mermaid are all self-hosted. Math and diagram libraries load only when your document actually uses them.
📶 Works offline
The page is cached after the first visit (PWA), so you can keep writing with no connection at all.
🌏 Bilingual by design
Full Chinese and English interfaces on separate URLs, with matching tutorials — not a machine-translated afterthought.
From Markdown to a published post
- Write Markdown on the left; the preview on the right updates as you type.
- Pick a paste style — WeChat, Zhihu or Word / rich text — and the styled HTML lands on your clipboard.
- Paste (⌘/Ctrl + V) into WordPress, Notion, Ghost, WeChat, Zhihu or Word. Headings, quotes, code blocks and tables keep their look.
Details, including how WeChat handles formulas and images, are in Markdown to HTML.
What it supports
Full GFM syntax
Headings, emphasis, strikethrough, links, images, quotes, nested lists, task lists, tables, footnotes, dividers.
Code highlighting
Fenced code blocks are highlighted automatically, with light and dark themes that follow the editor theme.
Math
Inline $a^2+b^2=c^2$ and display $$ … $$ rendered by KaTeX. Formulas are protected before parsing, so underscores and asterisks inside them survive.
Diagrams
Write Mermaid inside a ```mermaid fence to draw flowcharts, sequence diagrams and Gantt charts. Converted to PNG when you copy for WeChat.
Writing aids
Outline, word count, reading time, autosave, scroll sync, keyboard shortcuts, dark/light themes, adjustable font size.
Export
Download .md, download styled .html, print to PDF, copy HTML source, or generate a server-free share link.

Frequently asked questions
Is this Markdown editor free? Do I need an account?
It is completely free with no sign-up and no login. No watermark, no paywall, no pop-up ads.
Is my text uploaded to a server?
No. Parsing, math rendering and image compression all happen in your browser. Your text only lives in this page's memory and in a local autosave draft, and you can clear it at any time.
How do I paste into WeChat, Zhihu or Word?
Write your document, then hit "Copy for WeChat" (or the generic rich-text copy) and paste straight into the target editor. Headings, quotes, code blocks and tables keep their formatting.
Does it support math and diagrams?
Yes. Math is rendered with KaTeX — inline as $a^2+b^2=c^2$ and display as $$…$$. Diagrams, sequence charts and Gantt charts use Mermaid inside a ```mermaid code fence. Both libraries load only when your document actually needs them.
Do I need an image host for pictures?
No. Paste or drop an image and it is compressed locally and inlined into the document — nothing is uploaded. Exported HTML and rich-text copies carry the images with them.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the first visit the page is cached by your browser, so you can keep opening and writing even without a network connection.
Will I lose my draft?
Your work is autosaved in local browser storage and offered back to you if the tab closes by accident. For anything important, use "Download .md" as well.
